Cherryville Inn

Christmas 24/7

One last photo of the inn before returning to the outside world. Despite the building dating back to well over 200 years ago, it remained in decent shape, thus I was surprised to learn of its unexpected demise. From what I can gather, Lehigh Township, Pennsylvania was able to secure eminent domain in order to take over the building and thus eventually demolish the structure which occurred during the Summer of 2019. Demolition provided room to widen the current intersection the inn once occupied. A new Turkey Hill convenience store is also proposed to be constructed at the intersection of the old hotel. And so while the ancient Cherryville Inn eyesore exists no more, the residents and commuters of Lehigh Township can now enjoy stuffing their gullets with over processed heat lamp meals, Little Debbie diabetics delights, and brown caffeinated liquid, which will no doubt pass the same way it was consumed; hot and fluid. I personally would have rather looked at the old vine entangled inn. But progress comes in many bizarre forms.
